London – 17th April – Dominus Hospitality and Springboard has today announced a new partnership to help develop the next generation of talent in the hospitality industry.
The partners will work together to help young and unemployed people looking for work to enrol in employability training programmes, gain vital qualifications and skills and progress into jobs in the hospitality industry. As a showcase employer, Dominus Hospitality will welcome Springboard trainees to their hotels for training, work experience, mock interviews and site visits.
The Springboard Charity was set up 35 years ago and has a mission to futureproof the talent pipeline for hospitality by giving young and unemployed people the skills and confidence to launch their careers in the industry.
Each year, Springboard reaches 148,000 people and supports 5,000 people into work in hospitality through the three main areas of their work – employability training, careers & education, and the CareerScope platform. 76% of Springboard trainees are still in their job 12 months later, far higher than the industry average.
Dominus Hospitality currently manages five hotels owned by Dominus: The Dixon at Tower Bridge and Lost Property at St Paul’s in London, Courtyard by Marriott in Oxford, and two Hampton by Hilton hotels in Bath and London City. As well as providing work experience and training opportunities, all five hotels and head office will fundraise by completing challenges such as the Springboard Three Peaks Challenge and Springboard Virtual Race.
