Scheduled to open in April 2022, Dominvs group are currently engaged in an ambitious building project at Creed Court, St Paul’s, to build Lost Property, Curio Collection by Hilton hotel. The construction involved the demolition of the existing buildings behind the retained façade of 3 Ludgate Hill to provide a 6-storey building for hotel, bar and restaurant and coffee house with a total floorspace of 7,660sq m.
This comes despite site closure in March at the start of the pandemic, and recent milestones have included the completion of the B-1 slab and commencement of the ground floor slab. There have been no health and safety incidents, no days lost to inclement weather, and social distancing measures have been effectively implemented without impeding progress. The detailed design stage of the scheme is progressing well between members of the Dominvs group design team and the McAleer & Rushe construction team.
When completed in 2022 the Lost Property hotel will have 145 bedrooms laid out over six floors and an extravagantly stylish restaurant and bar open to guests and members of the public. The interiors, will embody classic features and rich tones to complement the façade and surrounding area in one of the oldest and most historic districts of London.
The original façade of this impressive period building will be kept, allowing the Lost Property hotel to blend seamlessly into the grandly beautiful surroundings of St Paul’s. The area is at the heart of the ancient City of London and home to a host of attractions, not least the world-famous cathedral itself, as well as the headquarters of a range of organisations from the Financial Times to the London Stock Exchange.
